SMS Messaging & Consent

Dey Money uses SMS/text messages for account verification and for transactional activity directly related to your Dey Money account and the cattle work you arrange through the platform. This page describes the real opt-in and verification flow you will see when you create an account.

1

Optional SMS consent

During account creation, you may provide a mobile phone number and voluntarily check the SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is:

  • optional
  • unchecked by default
  • not required to create a Dey Money account or profile

Exact consent disclosure shown at signup

I agree to receive SMS/text messages from Dey Money, including account verification codes and transactional messages related to my account, jobs, invitations, crew status, scheduling, payments, and other activity on Dey Money.

2

Phone verification

After you opt into SMS and provide a mobile number, Dey Money sends an SMS verification code to that number. You enter the verification code on Dey Money to confirm that you own the phone number.

This is the account-verification-code traffic referenced in Dey Money's SMS campaign description.

Verification codes expire after a short time. Codes are stored as one-way hashes and are never returned to the browser or shared with other users.

3

Transactional messages

After you have consented and verified your phone number, Dey Money may send transactional text messages related to:

  • Account verification codes
  • Job invitations
  • Crew confirmations and crew status
  • Job reminders
  • Scheduling changes
  • Payment notifications
  • Account notifications

These messages are directly tied to your account and to jobs you post, accept, or are invited to.
