Terms of Service
Last updated August 4, 2026
By creating an account you agree to these terms. They're written plainly on purpose. Short version: Dey Money connects cattlemen and day-working cowboys and handles the communication, scheduling, reputation, and payment around a job. Everything that happens horseback is on the people doing it.
What Dey Money is
Dey Money is a marketplace for cattle work. Cattlemen post day work, build a crew, and pay through the platform. Cowboys build a profile, take work, show up, and get paid.
Dey Money facilitates communication, scheduling, reputation, and payment. Dey Money is not an employer, a staffing agency, a bank, or an insurer. Cowboys work as independent contractors of the cattleman who hires them, not of Dey Money. We do not supervise the work, set the pace, or run the crew.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Dey Money.
- Give real information. Your name, your @username, your skills, and your outfit should be accurate.
- One account per person. Your @username is permanent so your reputation stays attached to you.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Verify your phone number. Texting is part of how jobs run, so a working number is required.
If you're a cowboy
- Represent yourself honestly. Claim the skills you actually have and the horses you actually bring.
- When you accept a job, you've given your word. Show up on time, ready, with what you said you'd bring.
- If something goes wrong and you can't make it, tell the cattleman as early as you can.
- Work safe, handle cattle right, and treat the outfit's stock, horses, equipment, and gates the way you'd want yours treated.
- Set up your payout account so the money can actually reach you.
If you're a cattleman
- Describe the work honestly: the job, the dates, the day rate offered, what you provide, and what a hand needs to bring.
- Pay the rate you posted. The day rate you offer is what the crew is owed for the work.
- Have the job ready — cattle gathered where you said, mounts if you said you'd provide them, a real start time.
- Close out the job promptly and honestly so cowboys get paid and reputation stays accurate.
- Provide a safe worksite and don't ask anyone to do something reckless.
Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's terms apply to payment processing and payouts.
- The cattleman's card is charged in full when the crew is locked, which is what makes the crew real.
- Dey Money charges a platform fee to the cattleman. The fee is shown before you're charged.
- Cowboys are paid out after the cattleman closes out the job and confirms who worked.
- Payouts land in the account each cowboy set up with Stripe. Timing depends on Stripe and your bank.
- Taxes are your own. Dey Money does not withhold taxes for anyone.
Dey Money is not a bank and does not hold funds as an escrow agent. Money moves through Stripe under Stripe's rules.
Cancellations and disputes
Things come up — weather, wrecks, cattle that don't cooperate. Tell the other side early. If a job falls apart before it starts, the cattleman cancels it in the app and the charge is refunded according to what actually happened.
If a cattleman and a cowboy disagree about whether work was done, either side can raise it with us at hello@deymoney.com. We'll look at the job record, the check-ins, and what both sides say, and make a call on releasing, holding, or refunding the payment. Our decision on the platform payment is final as far as Dey Money is concerned; it doesn't stop either side from settling it between themselves.
Appropriate use
Use Dey Money for cattle work and the business around it. Don't:
- Post fake jobs, fake profiles, or claim skills, assets, or outfits that aren't yours.
- Take work off-platform to dodge the platform fee after being introduced here.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone.
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute other people's profiles, phone numbers, or job information.
- Use the platform for anything illegal, including mistreating livestock.
- Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Suspension and closing accounts
You can close your account any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses other users, poses a safety risk, or is used for fraud. If money is in flight when that happens, we'll resolve the payment fairly before closing things out. Serious cases — safety, fraud, livestock mistreatment — can result in immediate removal.
Privacy
How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy. Short version: phone numbers are private and never sold, minimum day rates are private, reviews are confidential, and Stripe handles payment details.
Limitation of liability
Dey Money provides the platform as-is. We don't guarantee that a cowboy will show, that a cattleman will have the cattle gathered, that a job will be worth your drive, or that the service will be available without interruption. We don't vet the quality of anyone's horsemanship.
To the extent the law allows, Dey Money is not liable for injury, damage to horses, equipment or stock, lost work, or lost income arising out of a job arranged through the platform. Our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Carry your own insurance. Cattle work is dangerous and you're the one who knows your risk.
Changes and contact
We'll update these terms as the product grows and post the date at the top. Keep using Dey Money and you're agreeing to the current version. Questions go to hello@deymoney.com.
